She is diplomatic and advises her daughters to hide their resentment toward Yuan Zhen and avoid open conflict. She knows the emperor’s temper well and maneuvers to protect her own interests. While she secretly dislikes the excessive favor shown to Yuan Zhen, she never shows it openly. In the story, she discusses the upcoming marriage selection with her daughters and warns them not to covet Song Pu, as the emperor has plans for Yuan Zhen. She embodies the figure of a seasoned imperial consort who navigates the harem carefully.
