Durant is a middle-aged knight who lost his left hand in war seventeen years ago. He was once the Chief Knight under Earl Tulip and later served as a guard instructor. He becomes Rhode’s most trusted advisor and guard. He is observant, experienced, and loyal. He helps Rhode plan the attack on the bandits and advises him on administrative matters. He carries out Rhode’s orders, such as storing goods and organizing tax collection.
