Flander Crow appears first as the Grim Reaper who guides Merea's soul after death. He is an androgynous handsome man with a low voice and gentle demeanor. Originally a hero from about two hundred years ago in the same world, he was known as the Sorcery God, possessing the Magic God's Demonic Eye. After defeating a Demon Lord, his own nation framed him as a Demon Lord to seize his power; he was poisoned and, rather than let his eyes fall into his enemies' hands, he climbed Mount Lindholm and died there. His soul lingered as a spirit, becoming the leader of the hundred heroic spirits. He summoned Merea via the Otherworld Grass to resolve the spirits' lingering attachments. He becomes a father figure to Merea, training him in spell theory and reversal. His own lingering attachment is his worry that Merea will be labeled a Demon Lord in the current war-torn world. He reveals his past to Merea and advises him to cooperate with any Demon Lords who ask for help. He remains on the mountain until almost the end, slowly fading as his attachment weakens.
