The female protagonist. Fu Xiyao is a thin yet strong-willed girl who was a member of Li Yu's squad. When Gao He attempted to assault her, she defended herself with a knife, preventing the attack. After the squad split, she remained loyal to Li Yu. When Li Yu collapsed from weakness, she carried him to a shelter, gave him her last bit of food (including a piece of shriveled fish and tree roots), and fed him water, staying by his side through the night. She is grateful and protective. She helps process the killed Rain Rabbit and later supports Li Yu during the wild dog fight. She shows great excitement when learning that Li Yu is an Awakener, as she had only heard of them before. She was abandoned by her parents in the apocalypse, which makes her value trust and companionship. She is cautious and alert, often following Li Yu's lead but also able to take initiative when needed. Her expression of satisfaction after eating meat highlights her previous starvation.
