Gangler is the captain of a ten-man mercenary squad hired by Rhode. He is strong as a bear, wields a great axe, and is confident in battle. He leads his men in the charge against the bandits. He speaks roughly and is eager to fight. He also kills Matt’s wife when she attacks him. He respects Rhode’s intelligence and commands his squad loyally.
