In the first timeline, he reports the army of 30,000 and urges Crain to flee immediately. He takes command of the military and leads the defense when war becomes unavoidable. He is dedicated but often overwhelmed by circumstances. In subsequent timelines, he appears again delivering urgent declarations of war and participating in the defense efforts. Hans is characterized by his loud voice, sense of duty, and occasional panic under pressure.
