Ji Shou is the father of Ji Huailuo and the new husband of Xu Shu. He is a strict, patriarchal figure who believes in tough love. He scolds his son for bringing a dog into the house because of Xu Zhiqiao's asthma, and he slaps Ji Huailuo during a heated argument. He is quick to anger but also shows impatience and a lack of flexibility. His parenting style creates tension with his son, and he is not as attentive to Xu Zhiqiao's needs.
