Ji Wangyu is the second son of Chairman Ji Kun, born to his second wife and considered an illegitimate child. He was previously assigned to the Sucheng branch but is called back to Jing Shi after his elder brother’s accident. He now holds a senior position at Ji Corporation and is Li Mai’s direct superior. Initially appearing as a playboy, he once drunkenly crossed a line with Li Mai but later apologized and kept professional boundaries. He is observant and quickly notices the tension between Li Mai and Zhou Songyan. He uses Li Mai’s connection to Zhou to further the Nancheng Resort project. Ambitious and pragmatic, he navigates the hostility from his half‑sister Ji Yunshan while trying to secure his place in the company.
