Jia Zhangshi is the mother of Jia Dongxu, a shrewish and demanding woman. She actively colludes in the scheme against the Shen family, locking their door after the house is taken. She curses Shen Aiguo when things go wrong, but is quickly suppressed by the police. She is arrested and sent to the police station along with the other conspirators.
