Li Rongbing is the son of Li Guohao. He is loyal and cares for his family. He hires Daoist Priest Liu (later revealed to be He Yinzi) to help his grandfather. He is quick-witted and recognizes Zhang Buran's name as the son-in-law of the Wen Family. After Zhang Buran saves them, he requests that his and his father's memories not be erased so they can establish a connection with the powerful Daoist. He respects Zhang Buran's abilities.
