Lin Qingchuan is the 16-year-old stepson of Yu Jingmo, the adopted nephew of Lin Hui. In the original novel, he is the spare tire second male lead, but in the current story, he is the focus of Yu Jingmo's missions. He has phoenix eyes and a cool, aloof demeanor, but internally he is sensitive and prone to envy. He is talented in computers and model aircraft, often participating in competitions. Lin Qingchuan initially distrusts his new stepmother, but gradually interacts with her, buying desserts and eventually helping her configure a computer. He struggles with the pressure of expected social appearances and chooses to skip the auction, encouraged by Yu Jingmo. He is protective of his autonomy and shows vulnerability when his friend Cheng Yan’s video call reveals their bond. He has a dry sense of humor and a complicated relationship with his father figure Lin Hui. Despite his young age, he carries an air of maturity, yet still enjoys simple pleasures like late-night snacks.
