Master Liu is a middle-aged vendor operating in a small alley near Dawn Hospital. He has a long face, wears yellow rubber shoes, cropped pants, and a straw hat. He sells peace charms and other trinkets, claiming they are personally blessed by Master Liu (himself). He is talkative and uses bargaining tactics, initially offering a tattered manual for one hundred thousand yuan but quickly dropping to ten yuan when Qin Ge is about to leave. He emphasizes fate in their encounter. After the sale, he vanishes and cannot be found when Qin Ge returns looking for him. He appears to know the manual's significance but acts unaware. His mysterious nature leaves an impression.
