The Old Lady is the matriarch of the Helian family. Initially stern and unforgiving, she softens upon meeting Niuniu and becomes fiercely protective. She is heartbroken by her daughter Helian Meiwen’s death and breaks down crying when Niuniu asks about her mother. She organizes a grand welcome ceremony for Niuniu, hires an interstellar pianist as a tutor, and punishes any relative who speaks ill of Niuniu. She loves braiding Niuniu’s hair and keeping her close.
