Tang Min is Song Chu's eldest maternal uncle and the village production brigade leader. He is serious but genuinely cares for his niece. He is skeptical when Song Chu says she wants to work, but he arranges a job for her at the pig farm, giving her five work points. He is cautious about her change of heart but later becomes supportive when he sees her actually working hard. He also listens to Song Chu's ideas about scientific pig farming.
