The Eagle is a powerful spirit beast owned by the Spirit Beast Peak, used in the cliff-crossing trial to attack disciples. It is clever but easily provoked. Leng Chujiu taunts it, feeds it steamed cornbread, and eventually grabs its claws and forces it to carry her across the cliff. It submits after being threatened with feather plucking and later eats the cornbread, earning it mockery from the elders.
