The Goblin Chief is the larger goblin leader of the cave, who emerges from the back when Minato is brought in. He gives orders to the other goblins and keeps a sword at his waist, signifying his authority. After Minato kills Gobutta, he initially hesitates but then resolves to fight to the death to avenge him. He has an escape route deeper in the cave, revealed by the minimap. During combat, he is slightly more resilient than other goblins: he dodges Minato's first blow but has his shoulder shattered, then is killed by a second strike to the head. He represents the highest level of goblin threat encountered by Minato in the early story, but even he is no match for the Beginner mode strength.
