The Persistent Black Rat is one of the invading black rats that chase Mos through the tunnels. It is notably determined, continuing the pursuit even after other black rats abandon the chase. It catches up and bites Mos's leg, but she fights back by gouging its eyes with her claws, killing it. Its body is left behind after the struggle.
