Tom Chen is the Mao Xiong Country (Russia) contestant in the National Fortune Game. He enters with a Thompson submachine gun. While exploring the desert, he encounters an E-class Golden Armored Beetle and fires all his bullets without penetrating its shell. Terrified, he collapses and is killed by the beetle. His death causes Mao Xiong Country to lose national lifespan and fortune. His submachine gun is later devoured by Ye Feng. Tom Chen’s fate demonstrates the high danger of the forbidden land and sets a contrast to Ye Feng’s strength.
