Emperor William VI, Rudendorff William, is the aged ruler of the Histon Empire. He is Lorin's biological grandfather. He appears as a gloomy, tired man with great ambition to unify the continent. He tests Lorin's character by offering a choice between a gem and the royal crest. He accepts Lorin's choice to be a William but remains cautious. He plans a third war with Yesenia and promotes new military technology. He is both stern and contemplative, haunted by the rebellion of his son Andrei. He ultimately allows Lorin to attend the Military Academy, keeping an eye on his development.
