Xu Si is the kitchen steward of Prince Gong’s Residence. He is stout, with an oily face, and speaks arrogantly. He enforces the imperial order to provide Prince Gong with only one meal every three days, citing the Imperial Physician’s recommendation as an excuse. When Su Wanyan demands proper food, he mocks her but backs down after she threatens to report him for abusing the Prince. He also sends a maid to report Su Wanyan’s actions to the Palace.
