The Young Giant Spiked Lizard is a smaller juvenile about three meters long with an oversized head covered in spikes. It first appears behind Jiliu Jia in the forest, ready to attack. When Jiliu Jia turns to face it, it shakes its head and roars. Its pursuit leads Jiliu Jia into the territory of the adult lizard. It does not speak, and its role is primarily to initiate the chase that results in Jiliu Jia falling into the valley. It is part of the dangerous wildlife of Xiqi Mountain.
