Yu Molan is the male protagonist and a logistics company manager. At the beginning of the story, he faces delivery disruptions and the sudden earthquake. He immediately shifts to survival mode, focusing on protecting his wife and daughter. He secures their home, collects water, stockpiles limited supplies, and arms himself with a boning knife wrapped in towel. He is observant, often monitoring the outside through curtains, and becomes increasingly hard and decisive. He forces his daughter to drink foul filtered water, showing his strictness for survival. His physical appearance includes puffy eye bags and a trembling hand. He evolves from an ordinary office worker into a hardened survivor who does not hesitate to use violence if needed.
