During this time, the beastmen lose human consciousness and devolve into fierce beasts, becoming hostile and dangerous, rejecting all human contact. Liang He discovers an Ink Gold King Tiger, Cedric, who is actually an SSS-level Federal Marshal and beastman in transformation. Cedric has just killed a ferocious beast and is wounded. Instead of fleeing, Liang He approaches him, roars back at his warning growls, and successfully calms him. She bandages his wounds while he becomes docile, even allowing her to pet and touch him. This astonishes the control room staff and District Chief Huo An, who have never seen a devolved beastman accept a human.
