Lu Zheng's life changes dramatically after his parents, a university professor and a writer, are presumed dead in a shipwreck. He inherits over ten million yuan in savings, a villa, and three apartments near Canglan University. Though originally planning postgraduate studies, he decides to idle away his time. However, he honors his parents' requirement of completing at least ten blind dates each year. During one such date arranged by an agency, he meets Song Yubi, a postgraduate student at Canglan University.
