Now it needs to walk the tightrope between drama and fluff. If it maintains this balance, it will be a top-tier read in its genre. I am bookmarking this page now.

The biggest mystery for me is: what does Shen Anliu want? He is too nice. The story even says “his phone keeps ringing” and mentions “troublesome family matters.” He has a dark side he is hiding. That mysterious call after he hugged Yu Sui was perfectly timed. He is hiding something big, maybe even bigger than the company.

I can already see the fan edits. Panels of Yu Sui’s sharp jawline and tearful eyes are going to be popular. The author definitely knows how to write a visually appealing scene. The contrast between his cold persona and his crying face is peak character design. He is the “ugly cry” version of a perfect idol.

The bathroom scene and the elevator scene are the best written because they have high emotional stakes and clear blocking (movement). The later dorm scenes had good dialogue but unclear spatial setup (where was the chair?). It’s a small writing flaw, but it stood out to me. Keep the action clear.

The story’s take on “what makes a man” is interesting through the lens of Alphas/Betas. Yu Sui is a Beta, which is considered Average/weak. But he is our main POV. The story is saying that the regular guy (Beta) can still be the main character and overcome the big strong Alphas using his wit. It’s an empowering message under the smut.

I have a theory that Yu Sui’s hatred of Alphas will be broken when he sees them as victims, not oppressors. The story has set up that they are all trapped in the company. Once he helps them, he might actually develop genuine care for them. And that will break his “straight” facade. That’s the character development I am hoping for.

The cliffhanger of the chapter was the cracked phone screen. That is a perfect cliffhanger for a comedy web novel. It’s not life or death. It’s just “oh no, my phone is broken.” It maintains the low stakes feel of the early chapters, while suggesting a future crisis (losing his hate account access).

I love that Yu Sui’s superpower is basically being a straight guy in a gay world. It’s a very specific kind of enemy for the scheming Alphas. They are used to manipulative rivals. But Yu Sui is just running on pure panic and “I am not gay” energy. This will make his unpredictable actions funny and refreshing.

The system’s comment about the original Yu Sui hating Alphas because he was insecure is a bit too simple of a psychology. Real hate is more complex. But for a web novel that wants to move the plot quickly, it works. I don’t need a chapter long analysis of a side character’s origin trauma. Just give me the drama.

The pacing of the romance is fast. We are already at foot holding and accidental body presses in Chapter I hope the author doesn’t rush the physical intimacy. The best part of falling in love is the slow build. The physical pressure (ABO heats) should be a catalyst, but the emotional connection should be earned through shared trauma or teamwork.

I need more exploration of the “bond” between the members. The scene in the elevator was tense but brief. I want to see them at lunch, or a proper meeting. Their dynamic is currently told to us (twisted, cold, prone to scheming) but not shown enough. Show me their chemistry. Are they friends? Rivals? Tormentors?
