I’m a little confused about the timeline. She just transmigrated and the wedding already happened a few days ago. So she missed the ceremony. That’s fine. But I wonder how Lin Hui feels about this marriage. It seems like a business arrangement or maybe he needed a mother figure for his nephew? The original owner was described as stupid and bad, so Yu Jingmo’s new personality might surprise Lin Hui. I want to see his reaction when he realizes she’s not the same person. The slight smile when he saw her mole was a hint he noticed something different.
Okay, I’ll be honest, the whole “straight guy trapped in an ABO world” setup hooked me immediately. Watching Yu Sui’s internal panic about being an Alpha while being physically a Beta is hilarious. He’s so terrified of the gay stuff, it’s almost sweet. But the way he uses his online hate persona to project his insecurities is clever writing. I love that his first reaction to any Alpha contact is to post another complaint online. It feels very real for a guy who’s out of his depth.
The scene where Youki asks to call her "Cecilia" instead of a formal name is adorable in its awkwardness. His embarrassment and her agreeing so easily felt earned after earlier interactions. It's a small step, but for a romance built on one-sided confession, it’s significant. I was grinning the whole time.
I'm curious about the long-term plot. The protagonist has supernatural powers (the space and bullet screen). Will she use them to become independent? The story mentions famine and hard times, so maybe she'll use the space to grow food or produce goods. The hunter husband gives her access to wild game, so there's potential for economic improvement. The cousin married to the scholar might become jealous when the protagonist starts thriving. I'm hoping for a satisfying rise where she proves the grandparents wrong and builds a happy life despite their predictions of her being "only fit for a hunter."
