I genuinely feel sorry for poor Shen Anliu. He’s trying to be helpful and friendly, and Yu Sui is just treating him like a target. The guilt Yu Sui feels after searching his stuff shows some moral conflict, which is good for character growth. But Shen Anliu’s reaction to being pushed away? Just apologizing quietly? That’s either incredibly sweet or very dangerous.
So Ling Yan is the villain he read about falling for the main lead and almost getting killed. That’s a fun twist because he knows the plot now. I liked how he immediately recognized his situation instead of being confused for too long. The memory of Murong Xue giving away his pendant to Lin Feng made me mad. Who does that? Taking something from a simp and handing it to your new crush is just trashy behavior. Ling Yan’s realization about the Ling Family being wiped out later added stakes. It’s not just about revenge; it’s survival.
The narrative itself is quite engaging, showcasing a blend of captivating characters and an intriguing plot. The author deftly weaves various elements of suspense and adventure, which keeps readers hooked from beginning to end. The pacing is mostly well-balanced, allowing for moments of tension as well as opportunities for character development. However, there are a few areas that could benefit from improvement. The dialogue sometimes feels a bit stilted, and there are passages where descriptions could be more vivid to enhance the reader's immersion in the world created. Additionally, some plot points appear rushed, leaving readers wanting more depth and elaboration. Overall, while it has its imperfections, the story is definitely worth a read for those who enjoy this genre. I look forward to seeing how it unfolds in future chapters and whether the author can refine their storytelling further. If you’re a fan of action-packed narratives with a touch of fantasy, this book might just find a place on your shelf!
The way she dealt with Zhao Yuexi in the garden was ruthless. She didn't just dismiss her; she humiliated her by telling her to kneel if she wanted help. That's the kind of pettiness I live for in revenge stories. Zhao Yuexi is used to getting her way with tears, but it doesn't work on someone who's done with her nonsense
The friendship (if you can call it that) between Jiang Que and Wen Yao is developing weirdly but I'm here for it. He starts off as just another hater, but after the lock incident, he's forced to interact with her. Their banter feels real—like two people who don't like each other but have to work together.
The punch Ao Tian delivers is incredibly satisfying. Using less than 10% strength to send a grown man flying with blood and teeth is the power fantasy element at its best. It establishes the massive gap between the Armored Ones and normal humans without any magic words. Just raw, overwhelming force.
Song Chuman’s inner voice feels very mature for a six-year-old, but since she’s a reborn medical student from 2060, that makes sense. I like that she doesn't panic and immediately figures out how to use the system. Her calmness is a nice contrast to the hysterical family around her.
Ye Shi's introduction is intriguing. The way he's described as "like a deity from the old world, not a mortal struggling to survive" immediately sets him apart. And his reaction to seeing Banyue – the softening of his otherwise cold demeanor – tells us there's history there. The line "I'm still waiting for you to take my life" suggests some deep connection or maybe a promise. I'm curious to learn more about their past.
The banter between Fu Xi and the inner demon is gold. For example, when it says “the reincarnation of the divine venerable can be a naive simpleton” and she retorts “how could he be such a naive simpleton?” The deadpan humor cuts the tension nicely.
The horror elements are surprisingly vivid despite the comedy. Ji Yu’s feeding scenes are described in detail—the fangs sinking in, the slow swallowing, the body crumbling to dust. The part where he deliberately makes a guy feel fear to strengthen his soul is genuinely unsettling. It reminds you that he’s a monster, even if he cracks jokes.
