So far, the only character we’ve spent time with besides Hinami is Rigris. The parents and Hana are mostly offscreen. The taxi driver was a brief kindness. I want to see more developed side characters. The nurse Takagi-san ran to tell her about the surgery, but then Hinami fainted. We don’t know much about her. The story will probably introduce characters in the new world. I hope they are not just quest givers or comic relief. Hinami needs people to interact with in meaningful ways. Since she’s going to a town, there might be merchants, adventurers, maybe a fellow outsider. I’m curious about the beastkin and spirits — they could offer different perspectives. If the author can create a vibrant community for Hinami, the story will thrive. The safe house is nice, but eventually she’ll need to leave it to connect with others.
2 I wonder if the "Comprehensive Network" is going to be this interconnected thing where players from different worlds can interact or if it's more of a solo system, the hint about "meeting them somewhere" suggests there might be PvP or co-op elements later which could be interesting.
The “Strength Type Martial Dao Awakener” stuff is a bit jargon-heavy for me. I had to re-read that part. But once I got it, the fight made sense. It feels like the author is setting up a power system that will get more complex later.
Okay, I have to call out Fu Si Yan's behavior because it's honestly infuriating. He comes home in the middle of the night, wakes her up, and just expects her to perform her wifely duties without any regard for her feelings or even asking how she is. The way he interrupted her explanation with "then don't spoil the mood" really shows his entitlement. He treats her like a convenience, not a partner. And then he leaves before dawn to go watch a sunrise with his real love? That's just cruel on a whole other level.
I'm really curious about the jade tablet vision Xiang Jiannan has. The words Technique, Talisman, Qi, Body forming a Bagua feels like a big clue to the magic system. It seems like Talisman is his strong point, which explains why the Peace Talisman actually worked at the end. I'm glad the story is slowly hinting at a deeper, more complex power structure here.
The whole scene of the Inner Disciple casually describing how Righteous Path cultivators fight over demon-slaying missions like it's some kind of turf war is darkly hilarious. "We almost dismembered them" – delivered with a beaming smile while the listener is trying not to have a panic attack about his own demonic identity being discovered. The contrast is fantastic.
