The family’s reaction after she’s rescued really got to me. Her older brother panicking and offering to give up his job, her mother forcing herself to stay calm, her second brother bringing a chicken meant for his pregnant wife, her third brother storming off to fight Wen Zhiqing—everyone shows their love in their own way. And Gu Jia Ning finally breaking down and apologizing in her mother’s arms, it’s such a cathartic moment. You can feel the weight of her past mistakes crashing down, but also the beginning of healing. It makes you want to see her repay that love.
Kiana is immediately recognizable. The moment she sees the chat room she shouts for Mei and jumps into conversation recklessly. That impulsive energy is 100% classic Kiana. Her later misunderstanding that Welt is a villain also feels true to early Honkai Impact 3rd where Anti-Entropy was seen as the bad guys. It's a nice callback for fans who remember the old story arcs. But the way she learns the truth and quickly apologizes shows she has a good heart, even if she's a bit dense. Her bonding with March 7th is adorable.
Shi Lan is way too relatable as a protagonist. She transmigrates into a cannon fodder character with zero fertility value and F-level mental power, and her first instinct isn’t to chase the male lead or scheme for power — it’s to run far away and find a safe job. I love that practicality. Most stories would have her trying to change fate through romance or revenge, but she just wants to survive. That grounded decision-making made me root for her immediately.
One thing I'm not sure about: the whole "two-tenths of the merit of world creation" coming to Lin Yu. This seems like a lot for just being a bead that happened to be there. Pangu did all the work. But the text says the bead has karma with Pangu's world creation, so I guess it's inherited. Still, it feels like a bit of a cheat. But since the story is about Lin Yu having a huge advantage from the start, I'm willing to accept it. I just hope he earns his later powers.
I want to know more about Shu Xiaohui’s life before the apocalypse. He was apparently one of the people in the air‑raid shelter, and he used to scavenge supplies. He also seems to have known Chen Chengduo somehow, or at least feels familiar. Glimpses of his past are rare, which makes each hint meaningful. I’m especially curious about that dream where Chen Chengduo was trying to communicate. Was it real? Mental link?
I'm a bit confused about the timeline. It felt like Mo Yunxuan transmigrated, summoned troops, and went to the military camp all in the same day. That's a lot of movement. The story needs a few more quiet, transitional beats to let the enormity of the situation sink in. The fast pace is fun, but a little bit of breathing room would make the emotional beats of him adapting to his new life land better.
Tobirama is written so well here. He’s cold, calculating, and never fully trusts Kozō. The scene where he sets up the trap at Hashirama’s coffin and then appears out of the shadows to test Kozō — that gave me chills. The dialogue about souls and the mention of Katō Dan feels like a clever setup for future plot.
I'm really curious about the drug test Zhou Peiyu did. Dr. Yang mentioned it was a vaccine against syphilis called "Mei Li Ting", but the timing of Zhu Jiajia's infection and his immunity seems too perfect. Did the lab create this disease? Or was it an accident? The way Dr. Yang muttered "unbelievable" and "too perfect" about Zhou Peiyu's health after the test makes me think there's more to this story. Maybe the drug caused the mutation somehow?
