The English translation feels a bit stiff sometimes, like “Finally eaten myself poor!” might be a literal translation. But it’s readable. Some phrases like “Wo Cao” are kept, adding flavor. The description of eating ants is visceral. The dialogue in live streams feels natural. As a reader I can overlook occasional awkwardness if the story is engaging. It has that translated webnovel charm. I kinda dig the slight awkwardness—it feels authentic.
I'm a little mixed on the "True Dragon Sacred Body" name. It sounds a bit generic for such a specific physique. There are so many sacred bodies in xianxia, but at least it has a unique trait (dual cultivation). I just wish the power-up had a more unique name. But I suppose it's straightforward. The awakening process was decent – "I never expected my descendant would be the rare True Dragon Sacred Body." That ancestor voice added a sense of destiny and lineage, which is nice.
I need more context on why Luo Yingxue and her son are on Earth. The father is trapped in the Execution Tower in the Immortal Realm. Did she flee? Is Earth a safe haven? The story mentions “Earth Star” as if it’s a planet in a larger universe. This could be a grand space opera setting, but we’ve only seen a school and a villa. I hope the scope expands later, because the urban school stuff is getting repetitive.
I must say, this story has truly captivated my attention. The unique perspective presented through the eyes of a hamster offers a delightful twist that sets it apart from typical narratives. There’s something incredibly engaging about delving into the world through the viewpoint of a creature that is not entirely human, yet experiences life in such an endearing way. As I journey through the tale—currently, I'm up to chapter 12—I find myself thoroughly enjoying the way the story unfolds. The charm of this little hamster is irresistible, and its quirky personality resonates with readers, making it easy to form a connection. I wholeheartedly recommend this story to fellow readers seeking something refreshing and unique to immerse themselves in. It’s always a pleasure to encounter narratives that not only entertain but also allow us to see the world through different lenses. I look forward to continuing this adventure and seeing how the plot develops further!
The repetition of the “tick” sounds at the beginning established a nice rhythm, but later it felt a bit inconsistent. The sewer setting is creepy and gross, which fits the story, but I wish there were more smells and textures described after the initial paragraphs. Still, the claustrophobic chase scenes through narrow tunnels were well done. I could almost feel the walls closing in.
