The scene where Yan Luo sees the ghost behind the screen but actually spots a person (Lin Shiying) hiding there was a great touch. It shows she's not just a one-note "I see dead people" protagonist. She's also observant and strategic, using her ability to manipulate situations. Scaring the Second Madam just to flush out the eavesdropper was a smooth move, even if it seems random at first.
Okay, but that sheep ramming her into another dimension is the wildest way to start an isekai I’ve ever seen. Usually it’s truck-kun or a ritual gone wrong. Here it’s a fluffy white sheep that’s apparently a beastman or something. And the sheep has zero guilt about it. Just strolls around like it didn’t just send a girl flying. The sheer audacity made me laugh out loud. I want that sheep as my spirit animal.
The emotional rollercoaster in the first few chapters is wild. Qin Feng goes from "I'm going to die" to "I'm invincible" in minutes. The system's activation breaks his panic, and then the golden intel sends him into euphoria. But he's smart enough to clamp down on his excitement and keep playing the dull servant. That inner conflict—elation hidden behind a mask of subservience—is compelling. It makes me nervous for when he inevitably gets caught slipping.
One thing that confuses me: how did Wen Jiayue kill the eldest princess in her past life, and why wasn’t she immediately executed? The story says she “had already killed the murderer” but was still in the marquis manor when she woke up. Then she faints and wakes up to find she’s given birth again. Is the rebirth triggered by death? Or is it a do-over after some unresolved trauma? I hope the author explains the mechanics later. Right now it feels a little convenient, but the emotional payoff is good enough to overlook it.
How did Ao Tian get any education if he spent 14 years in the woods fighting monsters? The story doesn't address this. He speaks normally, he can read addresses... Was the Master also a teacher? This is a classic logical leap in cultivation stories that you just have to accept for the plot to work.
