I need more exploration of the “bond” between the members. The scene in the elevator was tense but brief. I want to see them at lunch, or a proper meeting. Their dynamic is currently told to us (twisted, cold, prone to scheming) but not shown enough. Show me their chemistry. Are they friends? Rivals? Tormentors?
I am extremely hyped for the Tyrannosaurus Rex Armor. The Uncle Master said it is 'unique in the world.' That instantly makes Ao Tian a special protagonist. I am imagining a massive, intimidating suit of bronze and gold armor with a T-Rex skull motif. I want to see it in action.
One thing I love about this story is how it doesn't shy away from the ugliness of the time period. The class struggles, the gossip from neighbors, the pressure on women to produce sons—it’s all there. It adds a layer of authenticity that makes the revenge plot feel more earned rather than just a fantasy.
The chapter where Jiang Fei buys all that emergency supplies—diesel generators, solar panels, water tanks, chainsaws—really shows how much thought she's putting into this. She's not just hoarding food; she's thinking about water purification, electricity, and even protection from zombies or desperate neighbors. The detail about connecting two apartments and installing five extra electric doors for future use is brilliant. She's basically building a fortress while pretending to be just another renter. The paranoia is justified, and honestly, I'd probably do the same if I knew the world was ending.
The physiognomy ability is a super cool power. Using specific facial features like “protruding brow bones” and “severely protruding cheekbones” to deduce actual history feels less like magic and more like super-sleuthing. The detail about her knowing the guy also killed a close woman five years ago was a fantastic hook.
