Huihui’s “wicked mother-in-law” comment is hilarious but also prophetic. Old Madam Ye really does seem wicked, trying to hit Xiao Qing with an account book and then lying about being worried. Huihui has zero filter and it’s great.

The prison backstory is interesting even though we only get a few sentences. Qin Yun apparently saved some guards' lives, which is why they like him. He also got an ancient legacy and made friends who helped reduce his sentence. I'm curious if those friends will show up later. The author planted a lot of seeds here for future plotlines.
