The Black Bear Team feels a bit like a video game tutorial boss. They are just there to show off the Storm Wolf King’s pack and give the reader a little action sequence. I get why they are here, but I hope the future antagonists have more depth than "big loud bullies who rob people."
The luck overload golden finger might make the game too easy if used too much, but for now, it's satisfying to see her get good finds.
I am waiting with bated breath for the moment Guan Yi metagames the hell out of the East Blue. He knows where Luffy is, knows where the good Devil Fruits are (probably), knows the future plot points! The government is fumbling around fighting Krieg and guessing about the Grand Line. Guan Yi is going to stroll in and butterfly effect the entire Pirate Era. The potential for fan service and plot changes is huge.
I’m lowkey shipping her with no one right now because all four husbands are either hostile or cold. But I’m intrigued by the potential of her earning their respect. The way she handled the zombie situation showed she’s got guts. Maybe she’ll win them over with her kindness and healing powers. Or maybe she’ll just divorce them all and live her best life.
