Another of the eight coffin bearers, a large, strong man carrying a butcher knife that he claims to have used for twenty years. He is more skeptical about ghosts, but declares that if any evil spirit dares to come, he will kill it. He represents the practical, superstitious side of the villagers, and his knife is meant to scare off unclean things.
