An unnamed female neighbor who speaks up when Li Cuicui refuses to call a physician for Song Chuman. She argues that Chuman is still alive and that it's cruel to deny care. She also tries to persuade Li Cuicui by reminding her that her eldest son is filial and that if Chuman dies, she might come back to haunt her. She represents the few villagers who sympathize with the first branch but are too afraid to act strongly.
