A mysterious Taoist priest who suddenly appears in Qingyu Village a few days before the sacrifice. He claims that sacrificing to the Sea God Madam will bring good fortune to the villagers. His advice directly leads to the village head deciding to hold a sacrifice, and ultimately to Song Chuman being thrown into the sea. He is never seen directly in the main events, but his influence sets the tragic plot in motion. He represents external superstition and manipulation.
