Hydra II is Owen's father and the third son of Hydra I. Unlike his strong father and brothers, he was thin and weak, so he was used for a political marriage to the merchant's daughter, Haila. After his father and brothers died, he was forced to take over the viscountcy but could not cope with the pressure. He died in a wolf disaster, leaving Owen to inherit the title.
