Lü Kui is a fellow Blade Catcher who shares living quarters with Liu Ke. He is an amiable, fat man who welcomes Liu Ke with a laugh. He has completed nineteen missions, both assigned and self-taken. He gives Liu Ke candy to remove the garlic taste after the Jinsi mission. He also comforts Liu Ke when he is targeted by the Inspector's attendant, assuring him that such troubles are common for new recruits. His cheerful demeanor provides moral support.
