Li Lao San is a local ruffian in the village. He attempts to sexually assault Shu Yue when she is alone, chasing her until she falls into the river. He is lecherous and without scruples, even preparing to enter the water to assault her further. His actions lead to Shu Yue being rescued by Cheng Jingchuan and eventually forced to marry him.
