Lin Shuo is Lin Yi Nan's uncle, the younger brother of Lin Zheng. He is married to Zhang Shi and has five children. He helps the family escape from Ping Cheng and supports the decision not to go back for grain, following Lin Yi Nan's advice to rely on the mountain forest for food.
