Lin Yujiao, also called Jiaoniang, is Ye Huajie’s childhood sweetheart and secret mistress. She is beautiful but cruel and jealous. She lives on Xiao Qing’s dowry manor with the false Ye Zihuan, whom she treats as her own, while brutally abusing the true son (Yun Chen). She beats him, breaks his legs, and forces him to work, calling him “little bastard.” She wants to replace Xiao Qing as the legitimate wife. When Xiao Qing storms the manor, Lin Yujiao tries to act provocatively but is beaten and then locked in a cage. She is eventually dragged away with her son. She epitomizes viciousness and selfishness.
