Master Jueyuan is a Shaolin monk who, when entering Nirvana, mumbled fragments of the Nine Yang True Scripture. Zhang Sanfeng, Guo Xiang, and Zen Master Wuse each memorized different parts from his recitation. His death and the transmission of the scripture are a key background event in the story.
