Mo Sangu, also called Third Aunt Mo, is an old woman who runs a shop for funeral supplies at the foot of the mountain. She has inherited some knowledge of the supernatural from her father, though only a fraction. She identifies the baby’s fate as a Spirit Body with a Yin Yang Fate, suggests making a patchwork robe from one hundred children’s clothing, and recommends inviting eight coffin bearers to guard the house. She also contacts Grandfather Huang using a favor her father owed. She is grateful to Lin Mu for saving her eldest daughter and son, and she treats the infant as a potential god‑grandchild.
