The prince of Northern Rong who leads the enemy forces that besiege Shangjing. He specifically requests Princess Yuan Zhen as a condition for peace talks. He is clever and uses the negotiation to test Great Hao’s bottom line, eventually breaching the city. He is a key figure in the fall of Great Hao in Yuan Zhen’s dream. His actions set in motion the tragedy: the capture of the imperial family and the subsequent suffering of Yuan Zhen. Although not present in the main timeline, he is a pivotal character in the backstory and the prophetic dream.
