He is stern and often disciplines Jiliu Jia with a rattan cane, but he deeply cares for both children. He rescued Xu Shanrou from four cat demons when she was young. He is revealed to be a true strongman in disguise, capable of using Soul Force and spiritual powers. He goes to search for Jiliu Jia when the boy goes missing and later attends the Li Clan's Poison Appraisal Convention.
