One of Shu Yue's maternal uncles. He tried to contact Shu Yue's father without success. He and his brothers made arrangements for the family's younger generation, deciding to send Shu Yue to the countryside to avoid being sent down. They also bribed the village chief to protect her. He is a caring figure who ensures Shu Yue has a chance at survival.
