Song Xingwen is a Senior Tasker from the Space-Time Administration Bureau. He appears out of thin air in a white space after Shi Ran is transported. He explains that he is also from Earth and that Shi Ran's space fragment was attracted by his aura and brought her along. He helps her bind the space fragment to her soul, upgrades her bloodline with Vermilion Bird blood, and sends her to a derivative world (the Tomb Robber's Notes world) for her trial mission. He is described as having peerless grace, refined and elegant like a clear breeze and bright moon. He is powerful, perceptive, and values mental fortitude over strength. He offers Shi Ran a chance to become a tasker and warns her of the dangers.
