Song Zhixian is the Marquis Yongxin, a nobleman who inherited his title young and holds a high official position. He was deeply in love with his first wife Shen Chuchu and resents Shen Shuangyu for what he believes was her scheming to marry him. He treats her with coldness and impatience, often reprimanding her harshly. Despite his outward elegance and status, he is rigid, prideful, and blind to Shen Shuangyu's suffering. He remains emotionally distant throughout the story, never fulfilling his duties as a husband.
