Su Yao is a honors‑class student known as the “Ambassador of Love” for feeding strays. She confronts Lu Chen in the rain when she sees him about to pour sulfuric acid into the dog. She is horrified, tries to snatch the dog, and gets bitten. She screams for help and demands that Lu Chen be punished. She becomes hysterical when her own face is spattered with acid.
